this hadeeth i am quoting from masnad imam ahmad,

it says

قلت لجابر بن عبد الله أن ابن الزبير رضي الله ينهى عن المتعة وأن ابن عباس يأمر بها قال : فقال لي : على يدي جرى الحديث تمتعنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال عفان : ومع أبي بكر فلما ولي عمر رضي الله عنه خطب الناس فقال : إن القرآن هو القرآن وإن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم هو الرسول وإنهما كانتا متعتان على عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إحداهما متعة الحج والأخرى متعة النساء

abu nadra asked jabir that why it is so that ibn zubair stops from muta’a, where as ibn abbas allows it?

he told me a hadeeth that we did mutaa along with prophet asws;;; and afan said: along with abu bakar

but when UMAR BECOME WALI (caliph); he gave a sermon, and said that quran is quran and prophet asws is prophet; there were two muta’as in the era of holy prophet; one was muta’a-tul-haj; and other was muta’a-tun-nisa.

this hadeeth is a clear proof for the fact that muta’a was forbidden by umar; we will talk of the isnaad strength later,

but here i will like to highlight that translator of the book,   could not do anything but to do tehreef in translation, and so he added

“and one is muta-tun-nisa which is done by giving divorce to the women and giving her a cloth”

by god! i have never seen such  lie in my life

such a huge tehreef

see it yourself, and then i talk of the isnaad strength

anyways, it can be seen in this as well, that

shoaib arnawit has termed the chain as sahih on the condition of muslim; terming all the narrators as narrators of sheikhain except abu nadra who is narrator of muslim only

sheikh ahmad shakir also termed it sahih

[musnad ahmad, takhreej sheikh ahmad shakir, vol 1, page 318, hadeeth 369]

though one hadeeth would have suffice, but let me share some more references with you

we find another narration, in that the narrators are different; and the wordings are different

قال عمر بن الخطاب : متعتان كانتا على عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وأنا أنهى عنهما وأضرب عليهما هذا لفظ أيوب ، وفي رواية خالد أنا أنهى عنهما وأعاقب عليهما . متعة النساء . ومتعة الحج

here the narrator abu qalaba is narrating from umar and he said
.
umar said that there were two muta’as in the era of holy prophet, i am stopping from them and striking them (who will do it);;; and in words of ayub: i am forbidding/stopping them and punishing
them (who will do it)

narration is sahih

similarly we find ibn baaz accepted that these narrations are sahih, and we see

عن عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه أنه قال في متعة النساء ومتعة الحج : متعتان كانتا على عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أنا أنهى عنهما وأعاقب عليهما : متعة النساء ومتعة الحج
