Sheikh Sudooq was asked in a gathering by those present and others, to introduce Imamia in summarized form, and He said:-

Religion of Imamia…..It is acceptance of Oneness of Allah, and negating similarity to him, and what is not deserving of Him…..and acceptance of Prophets of Allah and His Messengers, and His Proofs and Angels and Books. And Accepting that Mohammad asws, He is Chief of Prophets and Messengers, and He is the greatest of them, and all of angels, and he is the last Prophet. There will be no Prophet after him till day of Qayamat. And all Prophets and Messengers and Aimmah, they are greater than Angels, and they are Infallibles and Purified from filthiness and abomination, they do not sin, whether minor or major. And they are protection for People of Earth as stars are protection for people of sky.

Sheikh Kulaini, Sheikh Saffar and Sheikh Sudooq mentioned with an Authentic chain

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Ibrahim ibn ‘Umar al-Yamani from Sulaym ibn Qays al-Hilali from Amir al-Mu’minin () who has said the following.

“Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, cleansed us, granted us protection against sins, made us to bear witness to the activities of His creatures and granted us Divine authority on earth.

He made us to be with the holy Quran and the Holy Quran to be with us. We do not depart the Holy Quran and the Holy Quran does not depart us.”

We find in Al Kafi, an authentic narration which mentions qualities of Imam, and a part of that says

.

.
He has always been looked after by the watchful eyes of Allah Who would provide him security and guard him with His shield, well protected against the evil nets of Satan and his armies. He is well defended against the approaching dark nights and the false accusations of the evil doers. All wickedness is kept away from him and he kept safe against all forms of defects and flaws. He is veiled against all the scourge and infallible in the case of sins. He is kept safe and sound against all indecencies.

Sheikh Sudooq mentions in his book Al Khisaal, Imam Ali asws said in a narration

Obedience is for God, His Messenger and the Trustees in charge of the Affairs. Indeed the Honorable the Exalted God has ordered us to obey His Messenger, since he is pure and immaculate and would not order us to do acts of disobedience. God has also ordered us to obey the Trustees in charge of the Affairs since they are pure and immaculate and would not order us to do acts of disobedience to God.

Sheikh Kulaini mentions in al Kafi, that Imam asws was asked

I (narrator) said: So what are you? He asws said: We are the treasuries of the knowledge of Allah, and the interpreters of the command of Allah. We are an infallible (ma`soom) community, and Allah تبارك وتعالى has commanded obedience to us and prohibited disobedience to us. Sheikh Sudooq mentions

.

Imam Ali bin Hussein asws said that Imam is not from us but Infallible, and Infallibility is not in apparent creation so that it can be known with that, and it is not but for him who is nominated. Imam asws was asked: O Son of Prophet! what is the meaning of Infallible? He said: He is one who has held rope of Allah, and that is Quran, They do not separate until day of Qayamat. Imam guides to Quran and Quran guides to Imam. And that is saying of Allah: This Quran guides to path which is straight [Isra, 9]

Purify them from any uncleanliness; make them infallible and support them with the Holy Spirit.

.

Sheikh Sudooq mentions a narration in Al Khisaal, a part of which says

The Prophets and their Trustees never commit any sins, since they are sinless/infallible and innocent/purified

Another part of this narration says

The Honorable the Exalted God forgives and grant favors. The Honorable the Exalted God would not oppress. The Honorable the Exalted God has not demanded His servants to obey an oppressor whom God knows would fool and oppress you. God would not chose as a Messenger or appoint as a Prophet one whom He knows to be an unbeliever and has chosen the servitude of Satan instead of God’s servitude. God would not establish anyone as His Proof unless he is innocent and immaculate.
