I am basically taking this chapter from Wasail [1] which has been translated by Tashayyu.org [2]. I will not be quoting whole chapter, rather a few ahadeeth from it, and I would be adding opinion of Scholars in regards to their authenticity. Translator’s  note [3]:

 

nasb – to be inimical to the Ahl al-Bayt عليه السلام and/or their Shi`a; comes from ‘to set up’, i.e. to set up war against the Imam

nasib – one who does nasb; nasiba is the feminine. also: nasibi (male) and nasibiyya (female); nassab is the plural

mu’min – believer, i.e. a Shi`a; mu’mina is the feminine

`arif – one who recognizes, knows, i.e. one who recognizes and acknowledges the truth of the Imams عليه السلام, a Shi`a; `arifa is the feminine

mustad`af – one who is weakened, i.e. those who are not Shi`a but who are not nasibi either, who do not know the differences of sects, and are ignorant of the truth but not inimical against it or its people; mustad`afat is the feminine; mustad`afeen is the plural

NARRATION 1

 

[ 26317 ] 1 ـ محمد بن يعقوب ، عن محمد بن يحيى ، عن أحمد بن محمد ، عن ابن محبوب ، عن جميل صالح ، عن فضيل بن يسار ، عن أبي عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) قال : لا يتزوج المؤمن الناصبة المعروفة بذلك .

ورواه الشيخ بإسناده عن علي بن الحسن بن فضال ، عن الحسن بن محبوب ، مثله .

 

1 – Muhammad b. Ya`qub from Muhammad b. Yahya from Ahmad b. Muhammad from Ibn Mahbub from Jamil b. Salih from Fudayl b. Yasar from Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام. He said: The believer does not marry the nasiba who is known by that.

And the Shaykh narrated it by his isnad from `Ali b. al-Hasan b. Faddal from al-Hasan b. Mahbub likewise. [4]

This narration has been authenticated by as Sahih by

1- Syed Mohammad Aamili [5],

2- Ali Akbar Ghafari [6],

3- Allama Hilli [7],

4- Allama Majlisi [8]

 

NARRATION 2

 

[ 26318 ] 2 ـ وعن محمد بن إسماعيل ، عن الفضل بن شاذان ، عن ابن أبي عمير ، عن ربعي ، عن الفضيل بن يسار ، عن أبي عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) قال : قال له الفضيل : ( ازوج الناصب ؟ ) قال : لا ولا كرامة ، قلت : جعلت فداك ، والله إني لاقول لك هذا ولو جاءني بيت ملان دراهم ما فعلت .

 

2 – And from Muhammad b. Isma`il from al-Fadl b. Shadhan from Ibn Abi `Umayr from Rib`i from al-Fudayl b. Yasar from Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام. He said: al-Fudayl said to him: (Do I marry to the nasib) [Do I marry the nasiba? – in the masdar] He said: No, not at all. I said: May I be made your ransom, by Allah, I say this to you that were a house filled with dirhams to come to me, I would not do it. [9]

 

This narration has been authenticated as Sahih by

1- Allama Hilli [10]

2- Syed Mohammad Aamili [11]

3- Syed Sadiq Rohani, [12]

 

Allama Majlisi, however termed it “Majhool but like Sahih” [13].

 

NARRATION 3

 

[ 26319 ] 3 ـ وعن محمد بن يحيى ، عن أحمد بن محمد ، عن عبد الرحمن بن أبي نجران ، عن عبدالله بن سنان قال : سألت أبا عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) عن الناصب الذي قد عرف نصبه وعداوته ، هل يزوجه المؤمن وهو قادر على رده وهو لا يعلم برده ؟ قال : لا يتزوج المؤمن الناصبة ولا يتزوج الناصب المؤمنة ، ولا يتزوج المستضعف مؤمنة .

ورواه الشيخ بإسناده عن الحسين بن سعيد ، عن النضر بن سويد ، عن عبدالله بن سنان ، مثله .

 

3 – And from Muhammad b. Yahya from Ahmad b. Muhammad from `Abd ar-Rahman b. Abi Najran from `Abdullah b. Sinan. He said: I asked Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام about the nasib whose nasb and his enmity are known, does the believer marry (a woman under his charge) to him while he able to reject him and he not know his rejection? He said: The mu’min does not marry the nasiba and the nasib does not marry the mu’mina. And the mustad`af does not marry a mu’mina.

And the Shaykh narrated it by his isnad from al-Husayn b. Sa`id from an-Nadr b. Suwayd from `Abdullah b. Sinan likewise. 

 

This narration has been authenticated as Sahih by

1- Allama Majlisi [14]

2- Mohaqqiq Behraini [15]

3- Syed Mohammad Aamili [16]

4- Allama Hilli [17]

 

NARRATION 4

 

[ 26321 ] 5 ـ وعن حميد بن زياد ، عن الحسن بن محمد ، عن غير واحد ، عن أبان بن عثمان ، عن الفضيل بن يسار قال : سألت أبا عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) عن نكاح الناصب فقال : لا ، والله ما يحل ، قال فضيل : ثم سألته مرة اخرى فقلت : جعلت فداك ، ما تقول في نكاحهم ؟ قال : والمرأة عارفة ؟ قلت : عارفة ، قال : إن العارفة لا توضع إلا عند عارف .

 

5 – And from Humayd b. Ziyad from al-Hasan b. Muhammad from more than one from Aban b. `Uthman from al-Fudayl b. Yasar. He said: I asked Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام about marrying the nasib. So he said: No, by Allah, it is not allowed. Fudayl said: Then I asked him another time. So I said: May I be made your ransom, what you say regarding their marriage? He said: And the woman is an `arifa? I said: An `arifa. He said: The `arifa is not placed but with an `arif.

 

This narration has been authenticated as Reliable/Mauthiq by

1- Allama Majlisi, who termed it “Like Mauthiq”  [18]

2- Sheikh Hadi Najfi [19]

3- Mohaqqiq Behraini [20]

 

NARRATION 5

 

[ 26326 ] 10 ـ وعن علي بن إبراهيم ، عن أبيه ، عن محمد بن أبي عمير ، عن عبدالله بن سنان ، عن أبي عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) ، قال : سأله أبي وأنا أسمع عن نكاح اليهودية والنصرانية ؟ فقال : نكاحهما أحب إلي من نكاح الناصبيّة ، الحديث .

 10 – And from `Ali b. Ibrahim from his father from Muhammad b. Abi `Umayr from `Abdullah b. Sinan from Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام. He said: My father asked him while I was listening about marrying the Jewish woman and the Christian woman. So he said: Marrying them is more beloved to me that marrying the nasiba (- al-hadith)

 

This narration has been termed Hasan by Allama Majlisi [21]
