A lot of times Shias are accused of Cursing……….So let us see how Holy Prophet (asws) cursed those who would Harm His Pure Progeny, and stop respecting them.

We find a narration in Mustadrak Imam Hakim, with talkhees of Dhabi,

102 – حدثنا أبو محمد عبد الله بن جعفر بن درستويه الفارسي ثنا يعقوب بن سفيان الفارسي
و حدثنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق الفقيه ثنا الحسن بن علي بن زياد قالا : ثنا إسحاق بن محمد الفروي ثنا عبد الرحمن بن أبي الموال القرشي
و أخبرني محمد بن المؤمل ثنا الفضل بن محمد الشعراني ثنا قتيبة بن سعد ثنا عمرو بن حزم عن عمرة عن عائشة قالت : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : ستة لعنتهم لعنهم الله و كل بني مجاب المكذب بقدر الله و الزائد في كتاب الله و المتسلط بالجبروت يذل من أعز الله و يعز من أذل الله و المستحل لحرم الله و المستحل من عترتي ما حرم الله و التارك لسنتي
قد احتج البخاري بعبد الرحمن بن أبي الموال و هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد و لا أعرف له علة و لم يخرجاه
تعليق الذهبي قي التلخيص : صحيح ولا أعرف له عل

Holy Prophet (asws) said: 6 groups of people are those who are Cursed by Me, and by Allah, and Prayer of every Prophet is accepted:

(1) Who denies destiny of Allah

(2) who introduces extra part in Allah

(3) who tries to control the power in that he  insults one who is given Respect by Allah, and respects the one disgraced by Allah

(4) Who allows Haram of Allah {from what Allah prohibited}

(5) who allows for my Progeny what is prohibited by Allah

(6) who leaves my Sunnah

{Hakim says} Bukhari has argued with Abdul rehman, and This Hadeeth is Sahih in chain, and I am not aware that it has any problem, and it is not written

Dhabi says: Sahih, and I am not aware of any Problem [1]

 

Apart from Hakim and Dhabi, other Scholars who have accepted its authenticity, includes

1- Ibn Hajar Haithmi [2]

2- Hafiz Noor ud Deen Haithmi [3]

3- Ibn Hibban, as mentioned by Haithmi in Majma uz Zawaid

4- Ibn Abi Asim [4]

 

Having mentioned the authenticity, Let us now pay attention to the words of Prophet (asws)

 

و المستحل من عترتي ما حرم الله

 

Let us see what Scholars of Ahlu Sunnah said in explanation of this part. Ubaid ulllah al Mubarakfuri writes

(والمستحل من عترتي ما حرم الله) أي من إيذائهم وترك تعظيمهم

(And they would allow for my Progeny what is Prohibited by Allah), this means giving Harm to them and quitting their respect [5]

Mulla Ali Qari writes in explanation

قوله : والمستحل من عترتي ما حرم الله ) أي : من إيذائهم ، وترك تعظيمهم ، والعترة : الأقارب القريبة ، وهم أولاد فاطمة وذراريهم ، وتخصيص ذكر الحرم والعترة وكل مستحل محرم ملعون لشرفهما ، وإن أحدهما منسوب إلى الله ، والآخر إلى رسول الله

And the saying: (who allows for my Progeny what has been prohibited by Allah). It is: teasing them and not respecting them. And al Etra, it means the near relatives, and they are the Children of Fatima (asws) and their Progeny. And excluding Haram and Progeny, and cursing all those who allow that; is because of the respect. Because One of them is related to Allah , and other is Related to Holy Prophet [6]

 

And this explanation takes us to our subject ===> Curse of Allah and His Prophet (asws) is on Those who Harm His Progeny and Quit respecting them.

11876 – وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ – صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ – قَالَ: «سِتَّةٌ لَعَنْتُهُمْ وَكُلُّ نَبِيٍّ مُجَابٌ: الزَّائِدُ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ، وَالْمُكَذِّبُ بِقَدَرِ اللَّهِ، وَالْمُسْتَحِلُّ لِمَحَارِمِ اللَّهِ، وَالْمُسْتَحِلُّ مِنْ عِتْرَتِي مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ، وَتَارِكُ السُّنَّةِ».
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ، وَقَدْ صَحَّحَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ.

 

4- Kitab us Sunnah,Ibn Abi Asim, 1/24, Hadeeth. 44, Printed by Maktab Islami, 1400. His words are

 إسناده حسن لولا انه أعل بالإرسال كما يأتي رجاله ثقات رجال البخاري غير ابن موهب واسمه عبيد الله بن عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن موهب وهو مختلف فيه ولعل الأرجح أنه حسن الحديث كما هو قول ابن عدي
