One of the Shia websites, by the name of ShiaPen wrote an article which was titled, what I have titled for this particular post of mine. The reason for naming this post so, was because I came across a Nasibi website who were trying to refuse this post of ShiaPen, and in doing so, were trying to deceive their readers. Article of ShiaPen can be found HERESnapshots of Nasibi website are given at the end of post

Nasibi website quoted the following objections on authenticity of a narration; which states

Abu Barza (ra) said: ‘The people that Holy Prophet (asws) hated the most were the Banu Umaya, Thaqif and Banu Hanifa’

They state

Al-Hakim is incorrect in saying that this narration is upon the conditions of the two shaikhs, since Abu Hamza, the neighbour of Shu’ba, does not narrate in Saheeh Al-Bukhari. Furthermore, he only has one narration in Saheeh Muslim, which is a report from Anas, not the Prophet (salalahu alaihi wa salam).

And

Abu Hamza, the neighbour of Shu’ba, did not receive any praise or any statements that implied his reliability in hadith from the classical hadith scholars.

And the result they draw from this is

In conclusion, the Hadith is weak

Now

We would like to draw the attention of Our readers to the way these people have tried to deceive readers.

You can see they accepted that Abu Hamza is a Narrator of Saheeh Muslim, and which in essence means that Imam Muslim considered His him Trustworthy, else Why was He terming his narrations Saheeh ? Muslim wrote in Preface to his Saheeh, rather made Chapter which states

Chapter: On COMPULSION of Narrating from TRUSTWORTHY and leaving Liars, and Warning against Lying Upon Holy Prophet (asws)

Muslim writes

And Know, May Allah Help You, that it is MUST/COMPULSORTY on anyone who can differentiate between Authentic/Saheeh Narrations and those which have Problem, and those who are TRUSTWORTHY in narrating and those who are charged; That he should not narrate except what is AUTHENTIC

Are these trying to tell us that Imam Muslim did not consider him Trustworthy, Yet He took narration from him?

I must say: WE have no issue if they say so, but that would in essence mean that their No. 2 Muhadith-Muslim- denied the COMPULSORY RULE HE made in the beginning of His Saheeh Book

Also, They tried to deceive readers by saying

Abu Hamza, the neighbour of Shu’ba, did not receive any praise or any statements that implied his reliability in hadith from the classical hadith scholars.

We would like to tell our Readers that apart from Muslim, Imam Ibn Hibban has termed him Trustworthy in his book, al Thiqaat, as mentioned by Hafiz Ibn Hajar in his Tehzeeb ut Tehzeeb. Ibn Hajar writes

Also, Mizzi mentioned this in his book, Tehzeeb ul Kamal

They concluded the narration is Weak. Let us show them a few Scholars of Ahlu Sunnah who accepted the narration as Authentic.

1:-Sheikh Hussein Saleem Asad in his research of Musnad Abu Y’ala, 13/417, Narration no. 7421termed the Chain Hasan

2:- Hakim in his Mustadrak, and Dhabi in his Talkhees,7/56;  have termed the chain Saheeh on terms of Sheikhain

3:- Haithmi mentions in his Majma uz Zawaid, 10/64

Keep in mind that this is not the only narration which speaks of the grudge Holy Prophet (asws) had for Banu Umayya. Rather it is supported by narration from another companion of Holy Prophet (asws), Imran bin Haseen. Let us see

We find  in al-Maujam al-Ausat, 2/236; Tabarani writes

Imran bin Haseen said: Holy Prophet (asws) died and He hated three tribes: Thaqeef, Bani Hanifa, Banu Umayya

Let us have a review on Narrators of this narration:-

Imran bin Haseen is Companion of Holy Prophet (asws)

Abu Raja, his name is Imran bin Malhan, and He is narrator of all 6 books of Sihah-e-Sitta including Saheeh Bukhari and Saheeh Muslim

A’uf al A’rabi, His name is A’uf bin Abi Jameela al A’rabi, again he is a narrator of all 6 books of Sihah-e-Sitta including Saheeh Bukhari and Saheeh Muslim

Ja’far bin Sulaiman al Daba’i, is narrator of Saheeh Muslim, and other four books. Bukhari took narrations from him in al Adab al Mufrid.

Abdul Razaq bin Hamam is a narrator of all 6 books, including Saheeh Bukhari and Saheeh Muslim

Mohammad bin Mutawakkil, famous by Ibn Abi Sari; Dhabi introduced him in these words in Sair A’laam Nabala

Mohammad bin Abi Sari; al Hafiz; Al A’lim, al Sadiq (truthful).

He gave the opinion of Yahya bin Moin, and said

He was a Scholar of Hadeeth in Palestine, and Yahya bin Moin termed him Trustworthy

Finally, Ahmad bin Zanjawia. Khateeb Baghdaadi writes in Tareekh Baghdaad,5/43; that He was Trustworthy

Also, Dhabi mentioned him as Trustworthy in Sair A’laam Nabala

This narration is supported by another Chain of narrators from Imran bin Haseen.Keep in mind that, We are using this narration to support the above mentioned narration of Imran bin Haseen; And This is supporting the narration We started with.

We find in al Maujam al Kabeer,18/169; by Tabarani

Imran bin Haseen said that Holy Prophet died and He hated three tribes, Banu Umayya, Banu Hanifa, and Thaqeef

Let us see introduction of Narrators:-

Imran bin Haseen is Companion of Holy Prophet (asws)

Hasan bin Yassar al Basri is Trustworthy and narrator of all 6 books including Saheeh al Bukhari and Saheeh Muslim, though Mudalis.

We have already mentioned that We are using this chain to strengthen the first chain from Imran bin Haseen

Hashm bin Hasan al Azdi is a narrator of all 6 books including Saheeh Bukhari and Saheeh Muslim

Abdul Qahir bin Shoaib is termed Thiqa by Ibn Hibban in his book Al-Thiqaat, 8/392. Islamweb.net has termed him Truthful and good in Hadeeth ( صدوق حسن الحديث ); Muslimscholars.info , another website, has termed him Sadooq/Truthful. Ibn Hajar said there is no problem with him

Zaid bin Akhzam al Tai is narrator of Saheeh Bukhari and 4 other books

As regards to Zikriya bin Hafiz al Saji, Dhabi wrote in Sair A’lam Nabala

Imam Hafiz, Trustworthy, Scholars of Hadeeth in Basra and their Sheikh and Mufti;

He was an Imam in Hadeeth

So, We see two different chains, which support each other, and telling us the same point from Imran bin Haseen that Holy Prophet (asws) hated Banu Umayya.

And the narration of Imran bin Haseen is supporting the narration, accepted as authentic by scholars of Ahlu Sunnat, narrated by Abu Barza

With Special Thanks to Brother Jabbary al Yamani; who wrote an article in Arabic
