Let us share a Narration from Tabaqat Ibn Sa’ad, 4/243

Abu Huraira narrates that I was kept on payment by Ibn A’fan and Daughter of Ghazwan with food for my stomach and service of the foot so that when they were riding, I would drive/carry that; and when they would come down from that, I would serve them. One day she told me: You will walk barefooted for sure, and stand for sure. Then Allah married her to me, so I told her: You will walk barefooted for sure, and stand for sure.

All Narrators of This Narration, Sulaiman bin Harab, Hamad bin Zaid, Ayub Sakhtiani, Mohammad bin Seereen and finally Abu Huraira are Trustworthy & Narrators of Bukhari and Muslim. Therefore, Chain is Authentic.

This narration clearly states that This was a one time incident, for which not only That lady had to suffer later on, but her husband went on to propagate that as well.

There are other Narrations too about This incident, however, I shared this due to strength of Narrators.

Ibn Hajr mentions about This lady in al-Isaba, 8/52

She is sister of famous Sahabi U’tba bin Ghazwan. And her story with Abu Huraira is Authentic. She kept her on payment in Era of Holy Prophet, and then married her When Marwan made Him Chief in Madina

Let us share a few Narrations narrated by Abu Huraira himself to end our post. First narration is mentioned by Bukhari and Muslim. I will share it from Saheeh Muslim.

Abu Huraira (Allaah be pleased with him) reported Allaah’s Prophet (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying: He who believes in Allaah and the Hereafter, if he witnesses any matter he should talk in good terms about it or keep quiet. Act kindly towards woman, for woman is created from a rib, and the most crooked part of the rib is its top. If you attempt to straighten it, you will break it, and if you leave it, its crookedness will remain there. So act kindly towards women.

Similarly, Abu Huraira narrates as mentioned by Imam Ahmad in His Musnad,12/364

Abu Huraira narrates from Holy Prophet that The perfect faith is of Those believers who have best attitude/Nature, and the best among them are those who have best attitude to wives.

Sheikh Shoaib, researcher of Musnad Ahmad, has authenticated This Narration as well as chain.

Read the last two narrations, and then see How He treated his wife and later on propagated it………
