Let us analyze a narration present in Ikhtiyar Maarifat ur Rijal, 2/772

,

.
And I found in one of the narrations of the Waqifa: `Ali (?) Isma`il b. Yazid said. We witnessed Muhammad b. `Imran al-Baqiri in the house of `Ali b. Abi Hamza, and Abu Basir was with him.

.

Recently I came across a narration from Asl of Muhammad b. al-Muthanna al-Hadrami where in We find that Imam Ja’far al Sadiq (asws) said

.

.

So he said to me: I have only mentioned this so that you may be from the witnesses of Allah in the Earth. After the Messenger there are seven Awsiya from us, Imams whose obedience is obligatory. The seventh of them is the Qa’im, if He has willed. Allah is almighty, wise. He bring forward whatever He wills and delays whatever He wills, and He is the Almighty, the Wise. Then after the Qa’im there will be eleven Mahdis from the children of al-Husayn. So I said: Who is the seventh, may Allah make me your ransom, your command is upon the head and eyes (i.e. I will accept whatever you say)? He said: I said (it) three times. He said: Then after me is your Imam and your Qa’im, if Allah has willed it. Read the rest of this entry »

A narration has been quoted from Basair regarding “Seven” seals of Gold. It says

.

.

[Basa’ir ad-Darajat] Muhammad b. al-Husayn from Musa b. Sa`dan from `Abdullah b. Qasim from `Abdullah b. Sinan. He said: I heard Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام saying that Jibra’il brought the Messenger of Allah a sahifa sealed with seven seal of gold. And He commanded that when his term should become present to him (i.e. when he was about to die) to hand it over to `Ali b. Abi Talib, and he was to act by whatever is in it and not permit it to other than him, and to command each wasi after him to detach his seal and act by what is in it and not permit it to other than him. [vol. 3, ch.12, num. 24]

Now, If We look into the chain given, First problem lies with Musa bin Sa’adan. Najashi said about him

I had seen a few people who had been talking about waqafiyya. It was a sect which was formed after the death of Imam Musa (a.s); and claimed that He was the last of Imams.

Now, anyone who has read Islamic literature would be well versed with the word that the only number for Caliphs or Amirs or Imams, which is present in Shia & Sunni sources alike…………that is 12.

It can easily be said that there is Tawatur on this subject.

It is like a lot many people telling you that there is raining outside, even those who are enemies to each other, and are in habit of contradicting each other, otherwise.
